23. AGREEMENT WITH US DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, DRUG ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE DEA PHOENIX TASK FORCE FFY2022 Approve the Amendment to the Agreement with US Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration for the DEA Phoenix Task Force for FFY2022. This a mendment will reimburse overtime costs for one additional deputy assigned to the Phoenix Task Force, up to $19,370. The term of this agreement is unchanged, October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. The grant award is reoccurring and has been awarded to the Sheriff's Office since 1998. A cash or in-kind match is not applicable. There is no future or ongoing contribution required following termination of the grant period. The Sheriff’s indirect cost ra te is 14.74% for a total of $2,855.14 none of which is recoverable per item 7 of the Agreement. The $2,855.14 will be absorbed by the Sheriff’s Office General Fund (100) operating budget. The grant award is not a mandated function but provides a benefit to the citizens by enhancing public safety through illegal drug interdiction. The grant award is not competitively bid. These revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditures of the se revenues are not prohibited by the budget law (C-50-22-241-X-01)
