22. DETENTION SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY Approve the Agreement between Maricopa County on behalf of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Canyon University (GCU) for detention booking and housing. This Agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2020 and becomes effective as of the date of the last signature and will remain in effect through June 30, 2030, unless terminated by either party, for any reason, by providing not less than five business days’ written notice. GCU will pay rates established by the County and posted at the County Department of Finance website for the applicable fiscal year. The initial agreement with GCU for these services was established in 2017 and expired June 30, 2020 (C-50-18-19-3-00 and C-50-18-19-3-01). (C-50-22-242-X-00)
