48. ONE-TIME ADDITIONS TO FLEET Approve three one-time additions to fleet of red-lined vehicles 311402, 311426 and 321528. These are K-9 vehicles outfitted with kennels, heat alarm and weapon vaults that will stay in the vehicles until they are permanently retired from the fleet. The vehicles are to be retained by MSCO SWAT K9 Unit for use in last-minute callouts, responding patrol assistance needs, and use when assigned vehicle is down for repair. The estimated annual cost to operate these vehicles is $5,000 each for a total of $15,000 to be paid from the General Fund within the MCSO budget. These are one-time additions to fleet and will be retired at the end of their useful lives with no funding from the general fund for replacement. (C-50-23-006-X-00)
