23. MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT WITH TOHONO O’ODHAM NATION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE Approve a mutual aid agreement between the Tohono O’Odham Nation and Maricopa County for the mutual protection and assistance in law enforcement. This agreement allows for the Sheriff’s Office and the Nation to cooperate and assist each other when requested so long as the request does not conflict with officer’ or deputy’s duties. This is a non-financial Agreement. Each party is responsible for its own costs and liability. The term of this agreement is for 3 years upon last party signing the agreement, with automatic renewal no more than 2 additional 3-year terms. The IGA may be terminated at any time by either party with thirty (30) days written notice. (C-50-23-065-X-00)
