28. ADDITIONS TO FLEET-MOBILE LIGHT TOWER TRAILERS Approve one-time additions to fleet of two (2) Baldor "Power Lite", single axle, mobile diesel-powered light tower trailers as follows: 1) County asset 160, estimated value of $10,000, and 2) County asset 161, with an estimated value of $13,000. Annual operating expense is anticipated to be less than $1,000 to be absorbed by the Sheriff’s Office budget. These items were originally acquired by Public Health in 2010 and 2011 for use at Points of Distribution (PODS) in conjunction with Arizona Department of Homeland Security objectives. Public Health's distribution protocols were changed since COVID and the mobile light tower trailers are no longer relevant f or that use. Public Health supports the transfer of these items to MCSO for use in Major Crimes. The trailers will be retired at the end of useful life with no funding from the general fund for replacement.
