20. PERMANENT ADDITIONS TO FLEET – BEARCAT ARMORED VEHICLE Approve the permanent addition to fleet of a Lenco G3 BearCat armored vehicle. Approximate purchase price with add-ons is $460,462.24. This vehicle will be assigned to the MCSO SWAT Division for use by tactical unit. MCSO is a full-time tactical team responsible for handling search warrant services, barricaded suspect calls, high-risk apprehensions and hostage rescues throughout Maricopa County. The MCSO SWAT division also serves as the primary for any type of tactical response at Chase Field in Downtown Phoenix and the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station. The annual operating expense for this vehicle is expected to be $25,000 and will be maintained by the General Fund. (C-50-24-147-X-00)
