42. EXEMPTION TO POST EMPLOYMENT HEALTH PLAN ENHANCEMENT (RETIREMENT) PROGRAM FOR PC/LAN TECH SUPPORT Approve an exemption to the Post Employment Health Plan Enhancement (Retirement) Program (PEHPEP), approved by the Board on March 16, 2009 and allow PC/LAN Tech Support , position 00063110 to remain an active position in the Office of the Legal Defender. The Office of the Legal Defender requests an exemption to the RHEP requirement that positions vacated as a result of program participation be inactivate and further requests authorization to fill this position through normal County processes. MRT: PC/LAN TECH SUPPORT Status: Classified Budgeted Rate: 22.80 Indigent Representation offices are operating at capacity resulting in a pressing need for the Office of the Legal Defender to fill this technical support position as quickly as possible to avoid technical interruptions to the work flow. Assuming a replacement at the min-range is found to fill this position, the Office of the Legal Defender anticipates a personnel savings of $13,961 for FY 2009-10. No further reductions are required of the department at this time. (C-54-09-002-2-00)
