43. REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT WITH COMMUNITY BRIDGES, INC. FOR LEGAL DEFENDER HOLISTIC DEFENSE PROGRAM Approve the Requirements Contract with Community Bridges, Inc. and Maricopa County by and through the Office of the Legal Defender (OLD). This is a non-financial agreement between the parties. The term of this Agreement shall become effective upon the last signature and shall continue to be in effect for the stated length of the contract (one year) unless extended by mutual agreement or until terminated by either party. The OLD Holistic Defense Program Pilot Project is designed to assist clients who are represented by OLD in both dependency proceedings and criminal proceedings. The clients selected for this program will have a reasonable prospect for probation and to re-unify with their children. This program is designed to provide the clients with the assistance they need to be successful as soon as possible after their first contact with the justice system. Justice System Planning and Information (JSPI) will monitor performance measures to determine the viability of the project. (C-56-17-001-M-00)
