PUBLIC DEFENSE SERVICES REQUEST FOR REVIEW OVER BASELINE Approve an exception to the FY 2019 Budgeting Guidelines and Priorities allowing the review of Public Defense Services budget requests over baseline. The following requests are forecasted at this time totaling $1,105,489: •Capital Trial Representation 2.67 Additional Pending Cases $452,553 (Operating Expense, Fund 100) •Capital PCR Representation 2.00 Additional Pending Cases $228,342 (Operating Expense, Fund 100) •Non-Capital Felony Representation 1% Additional Demand to Contract Counsel $424,594 (Operating Expense, Fund 100) Funding for growth in case demand and select open case volume increases is anticipated based on forecasted needs for the constellation. The above amounts were determined following an analysis of case volume historical trends and current demands. The financial amounts are the forecasted costs for the growth if it materializes. The anticipated operating fund increase represents a 0.85% increase over the baseline budget target. (C-56-18-004-M-00)
