72. AMENDMENT TO IGA WITH THE CITY OF SURPRISE FOR ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS TO UNION HILLS DRIVE FROM 115TH AVENUE TO THE PARADISE RV RESORT Approve the first Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County, acting through the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the City of Surprise (City) for roadway improvements to Union Hills Drive from 115th Avenue to the Paradise RV Resort. The original Agreement (C-64-08-219-2-00) was approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 18, 2008 and required the City of Surprise to annex the project area upon completion. It was later determined this was not statutorily feasible. Under a separate agreement, the City of Peoria will be annexing the project area. The original project was funded through the Special Project Fund program and has been completed. This Amendment will relieve the City of Surprise from the responsibilities of annexation as required in the original agreement. Supervisory District No. 4 (C-64-08-219-2-01)
