52. BID AND AWARD FOR REEMS ROAD AND LITCHFIELD ROAD BRIDGES ON THE NORTHERN PARKWAY Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s (MCDOT) MAG ALCP Projects (ALCP), sub-project T369 Northern Parkway for construction of the Reems Road and Litchfield Road bridges on the Northern Parkway. Approve the award of the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, provided that the lowest responsive responsible bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. Construction is planned for FY 2013-2014 and is contingent on the Board approving the FY 2013-2014 Transportation Improvement Program. These two bridges will be bid as one construction project. AMENDMENT TO THE BID AND AWARD FOR REEMS ROAD AND LITCHFIELD ROAD BRIDGES ON THE NORTHERN PARKWAY Approve the award of the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s (MCDOT) MAG ALCP Projects (ALCP), sub-project T369 Northern Parkway for construction of the Reems Road and Litchfield Road bridges on the Northern Parkway. These two bridges were bid as one construction project. The Engineer’s Estimate was $9,130,000, and the lowest received bid was $10,088,741, which exceeded the Engineer’s estimate by 10.5 percent. Supervisory District No. 4 On February 6, 2013, The Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County (Board) approved Agenda Item C-64-13-112-5-00 authorizing the Maricopa County Department of Transportation to issue an Invitation for Bids for sub-project T369 Northern Parkway for construction of the Reems Road and Litchfield Road bridges on the Northern Parkway.
