61. BID AND AWARD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS AND WIDENING: RIGGS ROAD FROM HAWES ROAD TO ELLSWORTH ROAD Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s Project County Arterials (ARTS) Sub-project T375 Riggs Road from Hawes Road to Ellsworth Road, and approve the award of the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, provided that the lowest responsive responsible bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. The purpose of this project is to improve and widen Riggs Road to 4 through lanes with median from Hawes Road to Ellsworth Road. The incidental improvements include drainage improvement, signing and striping, utility relocation including private irrigation and equestrian path. Construction is contingent on approval of the FY 2013 – 2014 Transportation Improvement Program capital budget. Supervisory District No. 1 (C-64-13-119-5-00)
