62. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF GILA BEND FOR THE EXCHANGE OF SERVICES (ENTENTE) Approve the Entente Agreement between Maricopa County (County) and the Town of Gila Bend (Town) to address regularly scheduled or emergency maintenance projects of mutual benefit in both jurisdictions. The parties desire to implement a cooperative highway maintenance program whereby routine or emergency highway maintenance will be performed more efficiently (the Entente Program). The Entente Program is designed to look beyond geographical or jurisdictional boundaries and instead focus on the task at hand and availability of resources. The maximum dollar amount that may be exchanged under the Entente Program, per fiscal year, is $200,000. For each project that the Entente Agreement addresses, the County Transportation Director and Town Manager shall enter into a Letter of Agreement (LOA) to memorialize the collaboration. This agreement is necessary because it provides a means of completing routine or emergency highway maintenance more efficiently and cost-effectively for the County and the Town. This is a new five-year Entente Agreement to succeed the previous five-year Entente Agreement with the Town, which expired on December 12, 2012. Supervisory District No. 5 (C-64-13-125-M-00)
