68. DATA ACCESS EXCHANGE RENEWAL AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Approve the Data Access/Exchange Renewal Agreement and the Agreement Addendum between Maricopa County and the Arizona Department of Transportation. In September 2009, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) requested authorization for connectivity to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) specialized database to access, retrieve, query and analyze crash data from throughout Maricopa County. Connectivity was granted by ADOT to MCDOT through a Data Access/Exchange Agreement (Agreement) based on the understanding that MCDOT would only access the database in accordance with the terms set forth by ADOT. Subsequently, in 2011, MCDOT developed a new software application to accomplish this same task in a more user friendly format. Upon implementation of the new software application, it was realized, in cooperation with the Deputy County Attorney, that the Agreement must be approved and signed by the Board of Supervisors for it to be officially executable. In addition, an addendum was prepared so that MCDOT could also provide their new database software application to other jurisdictions, as requested. Upon receipt of the MCDOT software application, each individual jurisdiction is required to enter into a separate agreement with ADOT to gain access to ADOT’s database. Supervisory Districts No: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 (C-64-13-139-M-00)
