96. IGA WITH THE TOWN OF GILBERT FOR POWER ROAD FROM STATE ROUTE 202L TO NUNNELLEY ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County (County) and the Town of Gilbert (Town) for Power Road from State Route 202L (SR 202L) to Nunnelley Road and the traffic signal at the intersection of Power Road and Nunnelley Road. The County will not participate financially in the Project. The Project will include adjustments to the through travel lanes on Power Road, turning movements to and from Power Road, design and construction of a traffic signal at the intersection of Power Road and Nunnelley Road, and other related infrastructure improvements. The Town will be the lead agency for the Project and will be responsible for 100 percent of the cost of the Project not otherwise borne by the developer. The County will have no responsibility, financial or otherwise, for any aspect of the Project. The County’s primary role in the Project will be to request the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to abandon a portion of Power Road (just north of SR 202L) to the County and then process the Town’s annexation of the same portion of Power Road after ADOT has abandoned the road to the County.
