46. RESOLUTION TO DELEGATE AUTHORITY TO TRANSPORATION DIRECTOR TO SHARE SOFTWARE APPLICATION(S) Approve the Resolution for Delegation of Authority to the Transportation Director to Share Software Applications Developed by or for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation. This resolution grants authority to the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) Director to share with other political subdivisions of the State of Arizona, software applications developed by or for its Department of Transportation when the Department owns the source code. In August 2011, Jacobs Engineering developed a computerized application for MCDOT to import and analyze vehicle crash data and to provide mapping and reporting tools to manipulate and/or display the results of the analysis. Since the development of the software, several jurisdictions have requested a copy of the application from MCDOT. This resolution will authorize the Transportation Director to share this software application and any other when the Department of Transportation owns the source code.
