58. GRANT FROM MARICOPA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS FOR STREET SWEEPER AND ADDITION TO FLEET Authorize the acceptance of grant funds from the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) in the amount of $215,469 for FY2014. Funding is for the purchase of a PM-10 certified street sweeper. The street sweeper will be used by Transportation Operations to sweep and maintain County roadways for the improvement of air quality and the overall safety of the traveling public. Approve a revenue and expenditure appropriation adjustment to the Transportation (640) Transportation Grants Fund (223) Non-Recurring Non-Project (0001) budget in the amount of $215,469 for FY 2013-2014. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation. The approval of this action requested does not alter the budget constraining the expenditures of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. Section 42-17105. The department’s indirect rate for FY 2014 is 8%. All costs under this are for capital expenditures, which are not subject to indirect cost recovery. Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has agreed to provide $13,024 in local (HURF) match funding for the street sweeper, which is expected to cost approximately $228,493. MCDOT’s indirect cost rate is unapplicable on capital items. The total grant amount is for capital expenditures which are not subject to indirect cost recovery.
