55. IGA WITH THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION FOR MAINTENANCE OF MERIDIAN ROAD FROM SOUTHERN AVENUE TO MCDOWELL ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County (County) and the City of Apache Junction (City) for the design, construction and construction management costs of the overlay and chip seal of Meridian Road from Southern Avenue to McDowell Road. Approval of this request will authorize the expenditure of County funds, currently estimated at $667,349, and acceptance of reimbursement of City funding, currently estimated at $333,675. County funds are available through Transportation Department (640) Capital Project fund (234), Sub-Project T468. The purpose of the project is to provide scheduled maintenance to Meridian Road. The County, acting as the lead agency, will design and construct an overlay from Southern Avenue to Brown Road and a chip seal from Brown Road to McDowell Road in fiscal year 2015. The total cost of the project is currently estimated to be $667,349 with the County expending the $667,349 to complete the project but ultimately contributing a net amount of $333,675 (50% of the total cost). The City will also be contributing $333,675 (50% of the total cost) with one-half of this amount contributed in FY 2016 and one-half contributed in FY 2017 as reimbursements to the County.
