49. LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH HEALTHCARE TRUST AMERICA, INCORPORATED Approve License Agreement between Maricopa County and HTA – SC Boswell West, LLC for the construction of a bus shelter in Sun City. The cost of the project is approximately $21,000, which will be paid entirely with the County’s share of Local Transportation Assistance Fund (LTAF) II dollars. The effective date of the agreement is upon full execution by both parties, and will expire on the date of final completion of the Bus Shelter or (1) year after the effective date. In order to shield residents from the sun while waiting for the bus, especially in the extreme temperatures of the Arizona summer, there is a need for a bus shelter on the corner of Santa Fe Drive and 105th Drive. This corner, which serves as a bus stop location, is on the property of the Boswell Medical Center, and many people use the bus system as a way to and from their appo intments at the medical center. This agreement is necessary to promote the health and safety of county residents using public transit services at this location. The shelter is needed because there is no source of shade at this bus stop location. To keep patients healthy and protected from the sun, a bus shelter is being erected.
