95. IGA WITH THE STATE OF ARIZONA FOR HIGHWAY DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC INTERCHANGE: EL MIRAGE ROAD AND LOOP 303 Approve the intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County (the “County”) and the State of Arizona, acting through its Department of Transportation (the “State”) to include County Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) components in the State’s design and construction of the Traffic Interchange (TI) at El Mirage Road & Loop 303 (303L). The County’s estimated total cost is $82,582 for the design and construction of the County’s ITS components. Funds are budgeted in Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Project Fund (234) Intelligent Transportation Systems (INTL), Sub-project Number T484. The project is anticipated to begin in June 2014. Supervisory District No. 4 The State is the lead agency for the design and construction of the Traffic Interchange project at El Mirage Road and 303L. The County is responsible to pay the State the cost to relocate existing conduit owned by the County that lies within the State’s right-of-way. The County is also responsible for the cost of the installation of new ITS components that will provide for future connections by the County to the Sun City West area. Construction of the project is expected to begin in the summer 2014. (C-64-14-143-M-00)
