54. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON PALO VERDE ROAD Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following location: A 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Palo Verde Road from Old US 80 to ½ mile north of Old US 80. (This partially rescinds the 45 MPH speed limit zone dated October 29th, 1973). This agenda item is the result of a request from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to lower the speed limit on this section of roadway that is adjacent to Palo Verde Elementary School.
