57. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON BUSH HIGHWAY AND SAGUARO LAKE ROAD Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following locations: A 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Bush Highway from 4.21 miles north of McDowell Road to Usery Pass Road. (This partially rescinds the 50 MPH speed limit zone dated June 5, 1972). A 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Saguaro Lake Road from 800 feet north of Butcher Jones Road to SR 87/Beeline Highway. (This partially rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated June 5, 1972). This agenda item is the result of completion of MCDOT’s Safety Improvement Projects to reduce speeds in areas that have visitors unfamiliar with their surroundings, recreational vehicles, and towed watercraft.
