71. BID AND AWARD FOR ANTHEM BOX CULVERT SCOUR PROTECTION Approve the solicitation of bids for Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s construction of the Anthem Box Culvert Scour Protection. Award the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, provided that the lowest responsive responsible bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s Estimate by more than ten percent. Funds will be budgeted through the Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Projects fund (234) Bridge Preservation (BRIG) Project, Sub-Project T459. The purpose of this project is to protect six box culverts from erosion damage due to scour near the culvert openings by the construction of rip rap or concrete stilling basins.
