70. ROAD ABANDONMENT (ROAD FILE NO. AB-279) Pursuant to A.R.S. §28-6709 and 28-7202, adopt Resolution AB-279 to abandon a portion of University Drive in the vicinity of University Drive and Higley Road, which was conveyed to Maricopa County by means of a subdivision dedication and recorded by the Maricopa County Recorder as Book 92 of Maps, Page 15 on September 7, 1960. The Transportation Department received an application to abandon a portion of University Drive from an abutting private property owner (Assessor parcel 141-75-096K). The department established the width of University Drive to be reserved for the road and technical review has recommended abandonment reducing the width of the road to the minimum width needed for the road.
