53. BID AND AWARD FOR BUSH HIGHWAY ASPHALT-RUBBER OVERLAY PROJECT, CONSTRUCTON PACKAGES 1 AND 4 Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s construction of overlay improvement, new striping and signing of Bush Highway from Water Users Camp Circle to 1200 feet south of State Route (SR) 87, including 7 box culvert extensions from Granite Reef Dam Recreation Area to 1.25 miles east of Usery Pass Rd. Award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest responsive bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. Funds will be budgeted through the Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Pavement Construction and Preservation (PAVE) Project, Sub-Project T348. The project will provide an asphalt-rubber overlay, new guardrails and new striping and signing as well as 7 box culvert extensions to meet the safety standards for this road.
