72. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON MARICOPA COUNTY ROUTE 85 Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following locations: A 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from Verrado Way to 207th Avenue. (This partially rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). A 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from 207th Avenue to Jackrabbit Trail. (This partially rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). A 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from Jackrabbit Trail to .25 miles east of Jackrabbit Trail. (This partially rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). This agenda item is the result of the completion of a MCDOT’s Safety Improvement Project to reduce speeds on roadways that are adjacent to Elementary Schools.
