47. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON MCDOWELL ROAD Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following location: A 40 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on McDowell Road from 0.64 miles east of 76th Street/Sossaman Road to Hawes Road. (This partially rescinds the 45 MPH speed limit zone dated May 3, 2006). This agenda item is the results of completion of a MCDOT’s Safety Improvement Project to reduce speeds in areas that have elementary schools adjacent to arterials roadways.
