70. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON BASELINE ROAD Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following locations: 1. A 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Baseline Road from 91st Avenue to 700 feet west of 83rd Avenue. (This rescinds the 45 MPH speed limit zone dated February 21, 1984). 2. A 35 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Baseline Road from 78th Avenue to the 1100 feet east of 78th Avenue (Gila River Indian Community Boundary). (This rescinds the 45 MPH speed limit zone dated February 21, 1984). This traffic control change is the result of an engineering study conducted by MCDOT at the request of the Gila River Indian Community Police and Transportation Departments to lower the posted speed limit on Baseline Road.
