98. BID AND AWARD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CAREFREE HIGHWAY AREA: 10TH STREET FROM DOVE VALLEY ROAD TO PAINT YOUR WAGON TRAIL Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s construction of paving 0.74 miles of roadway to mitigate dust pollution on 10th Street from Dove Valley Road to Paint Your Wagon Trail and on Dove Valley Road from 10th Street to 12th Street. Work includes subgrade preparation, furnishing and placing of asphalt concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, culverts, headwall construction as well as other incidental work. Award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. Funds will be budgeted through the Transportation Department 640 Transportation Capital Projects Fund 234 Dust Mitigation (DMIT) Project, Sub-Project TT0457. The proposed project will pave 0.74 miles of roadway to mitigate dust pollution on two gravel roadway segments: 10th Street from Dove Valley Road to Paint Your Wagon Trail and on Dove Valley Road from 10th Street to 12th Street.
