BID AND AWARD FOR CAPACITY ENHANCEMENTS PROJECT: RIGGS ROAD FROM POWER ROAD TO HAWES ROAD Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s Capacity Enhancements Project, Sub-project TT0406 Riggs Road from Power Road to Hawes Road, and approve the award of the contract to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest responsive bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. Funds will be budgeted through the Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Projects fund (234). The purpose of this project is to improve and widen Riggs Road from Power Road to Hawes Road to three through lanes in each direction with a continuous left turn lane in the middle. The other improvements include drainage improvements, traffic signal improvements, signing and striping and utility relocation. Supervisory District No. 1 (C-64-17-094-5-00)
