BID AND AWARD FOR PAVING PROJECT: LAVEEN AREA Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s construction of paving 0.62 miles of roadway to mitigate dust pollution on Olney Avenue, 31st Avenue, and 45th Avenue. Award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. Funds will be budgeted through the Transportation Department (D640) Transportation Capital Projects fund (234) Dust Mitigation (DMIT) Project, Sub-Project TT0458. The proposed project will pave 0.62 miles of roadway to mitigate dust pollution on three gravel roadway segments: Olney Avenue from the 33rd Ave alignment to 31st Ave, 31st Avenue from Olney Ave to McNeil St, and 45th Avenue from Estrella Drive to Gumina Ave. Supervisory District No. 5 (C-64-17-103-5-00)
