24. AGREEMENT WITH SUN CITY PRIDES, INC. FOR SUPPORT SERVICES Approve the Agreement between Maricopa County and Sun City PRIDES, Inc. (PRIDES) detailing services provided by each party within Maricopa County right-of-way. The term of the Agreement will not exceed five (5) years unless extended by appropriate actions by the County and the PRIDES. Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time prior to the expiration date by furnishing the other party with a sixty (60) day written notice. Either party may change the current level of service being provided by providing the other party with thirty (30) days notice. The purpose of this Agreement is to update a 2008 Letter of Agreement between the parties that outlined specific items and services provided by each party. This Agreement formalizes the volunteer role and activities performed by the PRIDES. Under the Agreement, the parties will coordinate the services provided within Maricopa County right-of-way, including developing an annual work plan detailing expected projects for each upcoming fiscal year for planning and budgeting purposes. 52. AGREEMENT WITH SUN CITY PRIDES, INC. Approve payment to Sun City PRIDES, Inc. for costs incurred for one member to become a Certified Applicator for weed spraying. Based on the Agreement between Maricopa County and Sun City PRIDES (C-64-17-118-M-00) approved by the Board of Supervisors May 10, 2017 and recorded with the Maricopa County Recorder May 19, 2017 under Recorder Number 2017-0362624, Maricopa County will incur all costs associated with up to two members of the PRIDES becoming Certified Applicators. One PRIDES member volunteered and attended the appropriate training class. This will allow Maricopa County, acting through the Department of Transportation, to reimburse Sun City PRIDES for the costs incurred for the training class.
