98. COOPERATIVE FOREST ROAD AGREEMENT WITH USDA, FOREST SERVICE TONTO NATIONAL FOREST To approve the Cooperative Forest Road Agreement (Agreement) between the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (the “County”) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, Tonto National Forest (the “Forest Service) for cooperative planning, surveying, design, construction, reconstruction, improvement, and maintenance of certain Forest Roads in Maricopa County. Previously the Parties entered into an intergovernmental agreement C-64-17-126-M-00 and it will expire on June 2, 2022. This agreement is to continue cooperative planning, surveying, design, construction, reconstruction, improvement, and maintenance of certain Forest Roads in Maricopa County. This agreement is executed as of the date of last signature and is effective for five (5) years from that date at which time it will expire. The agreement will benefit the County and USDA on project activities based on a work schedule for the area. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time before the expiration date by furnishing the other party with a 30-day written notice. Supervisory District No. 2 (C-64-22-276-X-00)
