32. IGA WITH CITY OF AVONDALE FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO MC85 (BUCKEYE ROAD) FROM AGUA FRIA BRIDGE TO EL MIRAGE ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the City of Avondale for Improvements to MC 85 (Buckeye Road) from Agua Fria Bridge to approximately 700 feet east of El Mirage Road. Under the Intergovernmental Agreement, the agencies will coordinate the improvements, which include an attached six (6) foot sidewalk, curb and gutter, and installing street lighting on the south side of MC 85 (Buckeye Road). Funds are budgeted in FY2017-2018 Transportation Department (D640) Transportation Operations Fund (232). The estimated total cost for the project is $341,000, based on the terms in the agreement. The County’s estimated cost share contribution is $178,000.The City’s estimated cost share contribution is $163,000. Under this Agreement, The County will act as the lead agency for all aspects of the Project except right-of-way acquisition within City jurisdiction. The City’s estimated cost share includes all costs associated with the street lighting. Upon substantial completion of the Project, the County will maintain all sidewalk located in County right-of-way and the City will maintain all sidewalk located in City right-of-way and all street lights installed as part of this Project.
