58. CHANGE IN TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON MARICOPA COUNTY ROUTE 85 Approve a change in traffic controls (Speed Limits) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following location: 1. A 50 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE (from a 55 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) on Maricopa County Route 85 from .25 miles east of Watson Road to Verrado Way. (This partially rescinds the 55 MPH speed limit zone dated August 1, 1991). This agenda item is the results of completion of MCDOT’s Safety Improvement Project to add left turn lanes, install multi-way stops and lower the posted speed limit to improve safety for all vehicles traveling on Maricopa County Route 85.
