59. IGA WITH CITY OF PHOENIX FOR PAVEMENT PRESERVATION OF 27TH AVENUE AND CLOUD ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix for the pavement preservation of 27th Avenue and Cloud Road as part of sub project TT0558, New River and Northwest Arterials Overlays. The purpose of this Intergovernmental Agreement is to identify and define the respective roles and responsibilities of the County and the City for the project, including cost sharing, design, construction, and construction management of the project and project area. The County is initiating its annual pavement preservation program in the northeast part of Maricopa County by milling and overlaying the roadway with a 1.5 inch rubber asphalt concrete friction course for the full width of the roadway. The County’s pavement preservation improvements include portions of 27th Avenue and Cloud Road that are owned and operated by the City. The County and the City are using the most efficient and cost-effective methods to complete this work in a cooperative manner. Under this Intergovernmental Agreement, the County shall invoice the City for the City’s contribution. The County shall be financially responsible for the remaining cost of the pavement preservation. The terms of the agreement are in effect as of Board of Supervisors approval and shall remain in full force and effect until all stipulations have been satisfied, except that it may be amended upon written agreement by both parties. Supervisory District No. 3 (C-64-18-026-M-00)
