64. IGA WITH TOWN OF QUEEN CREEK FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT GERMANN ROAD AND CRIMSON ROAD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the Town of Queen Creek for the construction, maintenance and operations of a traffic signal at Germann Road and Crismon Road. Under the Intergovernmental Agreement and based on the availability, the County will allow the Town to use certain equipment from its inventory to construct the traffic signals. The County owns and maintains Germann Road. The Town is expected to complete improvements in fiscal year 2018, to extend Crismon Road north from Queen Creek Road to Germann Road. The Town anticipates that once the construction of Crismon Road from Riggs Road to Germann Road is complete the intersection may meet warrants to construct a traffic signal at the intersection. The Town’s ability to utilize County equipment will decrease the lead time to deliver the equipment, reducing potential safety impacts to the traveling public. The Town will lead the project and be responsible for the cost of the Project. The County will not be a financial partner in this project. The Town of Queen Creek will be responsible for the maintenance and operations of the traffic signals, control box and electrical services. The County will continue to own and maintain the east and west legs of the intersection. The terms of the agreement are in effect as of Board of Supervisors approval and shall remain in full force and effect until all stipulations have been satisfied, except that it may be amended upon written agreement by both parties. Supervisory District No. 1 (C-64-18-107-M-00)
