BID AND AWARD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY CONNECTIVITY: CAMELBACK ROAD CROSSING BEARDSLEY CANAL Approve the solicitation of bids for the Maricopa County Department of Transportation’s construction of roadway connectivity for Camelback Road Crossing Beardsley Canal (approximately 193rd Drive to 189th Avenue), including drainage system, utilities relocations, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, retaining wall, asphalt concrete pavement, signing and striping. Award the contract to the lowest responsive bidder, provided that the lowest bidder does not exceed the Engineer’s estimate by more than ten percent. Funds will be budgeted through the Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Projects Fund (234) Capacity (CAPY) Project, Sub-Project TT0520. This project will construct Camelback Road over the Beardsley Canal to connect two discontinuous Camelback Roadway segments, improving the street network, in partnership with the Maricopa Water District (MWD). MWD forces will reconstruct the canal in approximately January 2019 in preparation for this project. Supervisory District No. 4 (C-64-19-069-5-00)
