54. NEW TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON MCDOWELL MOUNTAIN PARK DRIVE Approve new traffic controls (No Stopping, Standing, Parking Any Time) on unincorporated right-of-way at the following locations: 1. A No Stopping, Standing, Parking Any Time Zone on McDowell Mountain Park Drive from 875 feet west of McDowell Mountain Road to McDowell Mountain Road (Both sides). 2. A No Stopping, Standing, Parking Any Time Zone on McDowell Mountain Park Drive from 3,000 feet east of Thoms Thumb Drive to 4,050 feet east of Thoms Thumb Drive (South Side Only). 3. A No Stopping, Standing, Parking Any Time Zone on McDowell Mountain Park Drive from 3,000 feet east of Thoms Thumb Drive to 3,450 feet east of Thoms Thumb Drive (North Side Only). This agenda item is the result of a Traffic Engineering Study conducted at the request of the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Supervisor. Vehicles are parking on both sides of the roadways and are causing safety issues when pedestrians walk across and from behind parked vehicles in front of the traveling public.
