IGA WITH THE CITY OF PHOENIX FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO LOWER BUCKEYE ROAD FROM 71ST AVENUE TO 67TH AVENUE Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix for the design and construction of Lower Buckeye Road from 71st Avenue to 67th Avenue. Under this Intergovernmental Agreement, Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix will widen Lower Buckeye Road to five lanes with curb, gutter, sidewalk, drainage improvements and upgrade a traffic signal. The road is currently owned and operated by Maricopa County. Maricopa County will lead the Project. The City of Phoenix will provide a financial contribution of $2,500,000 and annex the Project within 180 days of substantial completion of the Project. The estimated cost to complete construction of the Project is $4,411,799 with the County’s cost share contribution is estimated to be $1,911,799. Funds will be budgeted in FY2022 Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Project Fund (234) Transportation System Management Project, sub-project TT0495. The terms of the agreement are in effect as of Board of Supervisors approval and shall remain in full force and effect until all stipulations have been satisfied, except that it may be amended upon written agreement by all parties.
