41. ONE-TIME APPROPRIATION FOR SUN LAKES DUST MITIGATION PILOT PROGRAM Approve the receipt and expenditure of a one-time appropriation of $200,000 to Maricopa County by the State Legislature in HB 2747 for the Sun Lakes Dust Mitigation Pilot Program to be administered by the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT), Project Code: TE0064. This is a one-time appropriation. There are no cash or in-kind matching requirements. MCDOT’s current (or FY20) indirect rate is 13.45%. Total allowable indirect costs are 23,711.89 and are fully recoverable. There are no future or ongoing contributions after the grant period ends. The grant allows MCDOT to fulfill a mandated service. This was a non-competitive appropriation by the State Legislature. The total cost of the Sun Lakes Dust Mitigation Pilot Program will be $200,000 and fully covered by the grant. Grant revenues are not local revenues for the purpose of the constitutional expenditure limitation, and therefore, expenditure of the funds is not prohibited by the budget law. Approval of this action does not alter the budget constraining the expenditure of local revenues duly adopted by the Board pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17105. Supervisory District No. 1 (C-64-20-107-M-00)
