COMPETITION IMPRACTICABLE FOR MASH GUARDRAIL EVALUATION - NE AREA SCOPING STUDY Request approval of the attached single source competition impracticable form, for traffic engineering services Contract 2017-042 in order for Stanley Consultants to perform additional work on Project TT0603 MASH Guardrail (NE Area). Additional services include the completion of design exception reports for 18 segments of guardrail that do not meet the standard design guidelines. The On-Call Traffic Engineering Services contract was originally procured to perform traffic engineering design services for an amount not to exceed $500,000 and has less than $1,000 remaining for additional work. With the requested change order the total contract amount would be a sum not to exceed $649,639, an increase of $149,639 necessitating board approval. The additional funds to the contract will be used only for the completion of the work assignment and no additional work will be issued against the contract for future projects.
