75. IGA WITH THE CITY OF SURPRISE AND THE CITY OF GLENDALE FOR PEORIA AVENUE AND REEMS ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNALS Rescind the action taken by the Board of Supervisors (Board) on June 24, 2020 (C-64-20-204-M-00) whereby the Board approved an Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County, the City of Surprise and the City of Glendale for the construction of traffic signals at Peoria Avenue and Reems Road; and approve a new version of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County, the City of Surprise and the City of Glendale for the construction of the traffic signals at Peoria Avenue and Reems Road. Under this Intergovernmental Agreement and in coordination with the County and Glendale, Surprise will act as the lead agency for all aspects of the design and construction of the Project. Surprise has assessed the intersection of Peoria Avenue and Reems Road and determined that the intersection meets traffic signal warrants. Surprise has estimated the cost to complete the construction of the Project as $270,805 and will contribute 50% of the cost. Glendale will have an estimated financial contribution of $67,701. The County will have a financial contribution in an amount not to exceed $75,000. The funds are budgeted in FY2021 Transportation Department (640) Transportation Capital Project Fund (234) Five Year Program in the Transportation System Management Project, sub-project TT679. Construction is planned for fiscal year 2021. The terms of the agreement are in effect as of the Board of Supervisors approval and shall remain in full force and effect until all stipulations have been satisfied, except that it may be amended upon written agreement by all parties.
