59. DECLARE RIGHT-OF-WAY PARCELS AS EXCESS: DOBBINS ROAD AND 47TH AVE. Board of Supervisors to declare a portion of the parcel as excess to the needs of the County and approve for disposition. This County property was acquired from the City of Phoenix in 1976 for the future 47th Ave alignment. It has been determined by MCDOT staff that the 47th Ave. corridor will not go through and is considered as excess to the Dobbins Rd. Right-of-Way. Discussions with MCDOT Planning identified that Dobbins Rd. must be protected as a Minor Arterial Roadway and requires 55 foot half street preservation which will be retained by the County. The remainder is an uneconomic remnant and not developable as a stand alone parcel. Its highest and best use is assemblage with an adjacent parcel. Supervisory District No. 5 (C-64-21-021-X-00)
