IGA WITH THE FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT OF MARICOPA COUNTY FOR HIDDEN VALLEY BASINS AND STORM DRAIN PROJECT Approve an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County) and the Flood Control District of Maricopa County (District) to collaborate on mutually beneficial aspects of the District’s project in the Laveen area (Project). Also approve a County contribution of $220,000 towards the cost of the Project for flood mitigation protection provided by the Project, specifically on County right-of-way on 43rd Avenue, between Carver Road and Estrella Drive. The purpose of this IGA is to identify and define the responsibilities of the County and District with respect to the Project’s design, construction, maintenance and permitting activities as designated in the IGA and per the Site Map reflected in Exhibit “A.” Funds for the County’s contribution towards the Project are budgeted in FY2025 Transportation Department (D640), Transportation Capital Project Fund (234), Transportation System Management Project TT0683. The IGA shall become effective the date it is approved by both the County Board of Supervisors and the District’s Board of Directors and remain in full force and effect until all stipulations are met. However, the IGA can be amended by the Parties at any time. This Agenda Item impacts Supervisorial District 5. (C-64-21-229-X-00)
