64. IGA WITH UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA TO PERFORM RESEARCH ORIENTED TRAFFIC AND ITS DEVELOPMENT STUDIES Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Maricopa County Department of Transportation (County or MCDOT) and the University of Arizona (U of A) to perform research oriented traffic & Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) development studies. The term of this Agreement shall be effective for five (5) years beginning January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2026. MCDOT will act as lead agency for various research assignments requested of UofA each fiscal year. MCDOT shall determine the appropriateness of UofA staff selected for such research and studies. The estimated cost will remain at $75,000 per fiscal year, plus be extended another five years for various non-federal, project/research studies requested by MCDOT.
