IGA WITH CITY OF PEORIA FOR MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS OF THUNDERBIRD TRAFFIC SIGNALS Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County (County) and the City of Peoria (City) for the right-of-entry to operate and maintain the Traffic Signals at the intersections of Thunderbird Road and 94th Drive and Thunderbird Road and Boswell Boulevard/Plaza Del Rio. Maricopa County currently maintains Thunderbird Road between 94th Drive and Boswell Boulevard/Plaza Del Rio Boulevard. The City currently operates and maintains two traffic signals, two cabinets and two power meters, at the intersections of 94th Drive and Boswell Boulevard/Plaza Del Rio Boulevard. The traffic signal equipment is located within Maricopa County’s jurisdiction. The City is upgrading the traffic signal cabinets at these two locations and will require access to their equipment in order to complete the upgrade and perform maintenance work. Under this Intergovernmental Agreement, the County shall issue no-cost right-of-entry permits to the City to perform the required maintenance and operations of their traffic signals at the intersections. The City shall bear all financial responsibility of upgrading the equipment and does not change the authorities of the County or the City. The terms of the agreement are in effect as of the Board of Supervisors approval and shall remain in full force and effect until all stipulations have been satisfied, except that it may be amended upon written agreement by all parties.
