111. IGA WITH CITY OF MESA FOR THE CONNECTED VEHICLE INTELLIGENT TRANSIT & FREIGHT SIGNAL PRIORITY Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the City of Mesa for the construction of sidewalks within County right-of-way. Either Party may terminate this Agreement at any time prior to the expiration date by furnishing the other Party with a thirty (30) day written notice. The purpose of this Agreement is to authorize the County who is leading the project to coordinate with the City of Mesa to install and configure roadside unit devices at traffic signals along Loop 202/Red Mountain Freeway and the US60, and Power and Sossaman Road between Loop 202 Santan Freeway and ASU P olytechnic Campus/Innovation Way. The project will all upgrade traffic signal controllers at select intersections along theses routes to support connected vehicle applications and ultimately integrate and configure the Multimodal Intelligent Traffic Signal System. The Project is funded from local and federal funds through Maricopa Association of Governments. The total construction costs are $848,700. The Maricopa Association of Governments will provide $800,324 in funding with the remaining local match bei ng supplied by the County’s ITS Operations Budget in the amount of $48,376.
