IGA WITH CITY OF BUCKEYE FOR FIRE PRE-EMPTION EQUIPMENT OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE ON TRAFFIC SIGNAL ON SUN VALLEY PARKWAY AT DESERT OASIS BOULEVARD Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County (County) and the City of Buckeye (City) for the installation, operation, and maintenance of fire preemption equipment on County-owned traffic signal at Sun Valley Parkway and Oasis Boulevard. Either Party may terminate this Agreement at any time prior to the expiration date by furnishing the other Party with a thirty (30) day written notice. The purpose of this Agreement is to define the responsibilities of each Party related to the purchasing, installation, and maintenance of fire preemption equipment. The City project will install a new traffic signal at Sun Valley Parkway and Oasis Boulevard that will be owned, operated, and maintained by the County. Under this Agreement, the City shall purchase fire preemption equipment compatible with County traffic signals and controllers and the County will install the equipment as part of the project. The County will provide routine maintenance upon completion of the project. The City will incur all costs associated with replacement parts needed as part of normal, routine maintenance.
