56. IGA WITH THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR (TE088) CONNECTED VEHICLE ACCELERATION ZONE PROJECT (Supervisory District: All) Approve the Intergovernmental Agreement between Maricopa County and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) to deploy interoperable Connected Vehicle (CV) and Vehicle to Everything (V2X) technologies within the County as part of the Connected Vehicle Acceleration Zone (Project). The Project seeks to enable vehicular communication with each other, other road users and roadside infrastructure to improve traffic flow and safety. 80% of the project is funded from a federal grant and 20% percent local match funds with the County contributing 10% of that local match. The County will act as Lead agency for planning, design, procurement, construction and construction management for the Project. This is a component of the previous BOS approval to receive federal aid for the CVAZ grant Project. This Agreement shall become effective as of the date it is executed by all the governing bodies of the Parties and shall remain in full force and effect until all stipulations previously indicated have been satisfied. This Agreement may be amended only upon mutual written consent of all Parties. (C-64-26-118-X-00)
